    Group Fixtures (Times are BST) 14th June, 2000: Uruguay 1-3 Costa Rica 14th June, 2300: England 1-2 Italy 19th June, 2000: Uruguay v England 20th June, 1700: Italy v Costa Rica 24th June, 1700: Italy v Uruguay 24th June, 1700: Costa Rica v England Costa Rica of all team may play a defining part in how this group works out, it's highly unlikely however that they will make it out of the group themselves. The aim for Uruguay will be an opening win against Costa Rica, this would then allow them to sit back in their second game against England and hit them on the break. England and Italy on the other hand face a rather tense first game in the group, a win for either side gives them a very good chance to go through but for England in particular a loss would be disastrous with Uruguay to follow. If Costa Rica can pull off an early upset against either Uruguay or Italy then they could just tip things in a what should be a finely poised group. With Luis Suarez arguably in the form of his life, injury not withstanding, it is somewhat tragic that his national side are actually around 4 years past their peak. Yes they have Suarez, yes the have Cavani but they also have a rather dodgy defence epitomised best by their Captain Diego Lugano and his performances for West Brom this season. Don't get me wrong, Uruguay will be a very dangerous side in this tournament and with the easiest opening game in the group they have a fantastic chance to set themselves up to progress, but does anyone really see an outright Quarter Finalist or potential Semi Finalist team here?.
