Balmung has been closed to creation for a long while now, and since just before Stormblood launched, it has been closed to character transfers as well, making it impossible for anyone to join the server. This makes buying a previously existing account the only way to get onto the server to be with ones friends full time - as much as the cross-server dungeon stuff is well done, it really doesn't work well for letting friends really play together. I'm not terribly concerned about levels and content on the account. It would be neat to have a legacy account (the tattoo looks pretty), but mainly I'm just trying to get an account that has a few characters on Balmung; I would prefer at least 3, but really would take at least 1 at this point.
