Selling wow accounts for more Rule 1: If you have time, sell the account yourself. (Account resellers offer half of estimated retail value.) Rule 2: Show, don't tell. sell wow accounts with pictures and profiles When selling your wow account, don't write a book, make a brocure. (USE PICTURES and a character profile) A picture is worth 1000 words and is a lot faster. A profile shows gear. Read How to make profiles and screenshots. Rule 3: Learn how to sell wow accounts. The best place to learn is to visit a pro website that sells wow accounts. accounts, toonstorm, kcjaccounts World of Warcraft account sales Old screenshot from ige When buyers shop, they search by class and server. (Important to have in any auction title.) A buyer looks at the titles to compare how advanced each account is. Ambiguous titles are ignored! Level 60 Orc shaman, Icecrowne, 6/8 earthshaker set, 7k HP, 8k Mana If your game has PVP factions, put race in the title. xfer up, cd key, original owner, is good to put in the title. Buyers LOOK for the word 'xfer' in titles and will shop outside of their server to get what they want. If you are transferrable, say so. Additional research: Log into ebay In the upper right hand corner, click on Advanced Search Search completed auctions for your favorite thing. before selling a warcraft or everquest account, do some research, learn from the pros. After obtaining your search results, sort the results by price. rpg accounts have the highest fraud of anything bought and sold online The same item listed high to low shows how sellers with a good presentation make money and sellers with bad presentations get screwed. Rule 4: Be descriptive. Many buyers are newbs. They don't know what you do and can't translate the abbreviations. Do not expect them to value anything unless you explain it. Rule 5: Don't abbreviate. Buyers will search for "rogue" not "rog" Rule 6: Prep your wow account. Deguild, wipe friends list. Stop recurring billing of your credit card. You might even want to tell a few friends so that they don't freak out and email the game company that some stranger is playing your account and you were obviously hacked. Rule 7. Don't use reserve prices Use starting bid prices. When a bidder sees, 'reserve not met' - they do not bid again. They look for something easy. No guessing, no bullshit. Rule 8. Use buy now prices Buyers don't want to buy an account tomorrow, they want to buy it now, today, this minute. They also do not want to bother with bidding. They will pay more for this convenience. I usually set the buy now price $50 higher. Rule 9: Find your CD key. This increases selling value dramaticly. Add "Cd Key, original owner" to your titles. Rule 10: Use forums to advertise, auctions to sell. Combine the selling power of the top forums by placing an ad with the URL of a free auction at vgauction or rpgreseller. The auction will track the bidding for you and allow you to have a fancy presentation. . buysellmmo egamingsupply capricasix realpoor Bump your posts by replying to them so they stay on the front page. Read forum rules on bumping. This will increase visabilty when new posts cause yours to become "buried." Pricing: In this market, items do not sell like they do on ebay. You need to price your account AT the amount that it will sell for, and then use the 'buynow' option. Use automaticly relisting auctions with 1 day durations. It is easy to adjust your prices at any time. Start at high prices, and slowly reduce until you have a buyer. Find your CD keys: They increase selling value dramaticly. Note in your auction that you have the CD Keys used to register (open) the account. Be prepared to accept paypal. If you don't have a paypal account, get one. If you don't know how to use paypal, learn. If your account is inactive, activate it. Don't ask potential buyers, "Are you going to steal my account." - If they are a thief, they might be a liar. Think about it. OWNERSHIP & SERVER TRANSFERS If you have alts that are high level, you can sell them separately. It requires a new blank account, and $25, but buyers will happily pay for it. Why? - Because it's secure. Each account must have matching owner information. If you are a buyer and just bought an account with a dozen alts that can be sold separately, you may be in for some big profit. But how do you pay for the transfer if you don't have a credit card that's registered in your name? This and other questions are answered in my account transfer guide. Do not make changes to account information. Drop the anonymity bullshit and just leave your information alone. If you try to duck your buyers, then they will not trust you. Also, remember that they are probably going to change the information after they get the account. This is bad. Game companies are beginning to flag and review accounts that have information changed. If it gets changed TWICE in one month, your love you is going to get banned and you will have an angry customer. Account information may be reviewed for acccuracy by the game company. Seymore Butts at 555-123-4567 is a bad idea. If you have sold an account and have other accounts, be aware of the following hazard. If you sold it to a botter or a farmer, the original registration and payment details point to YOU and that can be linked to your other accounts. If the new user is a ban risk, you might want to reconsider. Use unique registration info for all of your new accounts. If a company sees you have more than one, that raises suspicion anyway. It is never to your advantage. However, if you have a tricky reclamation to do, they could ask for a photo ID... and that is why it's good to register as friends or family members. Fictitious identities are bad. Click off active buffs before taking screenshots, you don't want your customers accusing you of misrepresentation. Don't forget to list your keys! - Most people don't even think about this. If selling something that can be divided up, such as coin, do small transactions until you trust your buyer. NEVER visit an account reselling website or forum while Warcraft is running. Warden will see the URLs, page titles, etc. That is a leading a reason why THOUSANDS of users get banned every month. If you have already compromised you wow account, play regularly for a few weeks.
