Please be on the look out for a new World of Warcraft account email phishing scam. It is unknown how these hackers obtained the user base emails, but it is being strongly investigated by Blizzard, makers of World of Warcraft, who put a premium on user’s privacy. This malicious email is similar to those seen by eBay account holders, and PayPal account holders. Like those companies, Blizzard WILL NEVER REQUEST YOUR ACCOUNT INFORMATION VIA E-MAIL, ONLY DISCUSSED BY PHONE! The email is intended to collect your account security details or to install a key logger on your computer. The email appears it is coming from a Blizzard.com email however the mail is spoofed and is not from Blizzard. Just check your browser address bar at the top and you will not see Blizzard.com. We have posted this suspicious email, and it can be seen below. The email contains three links, the first two links direct to the World of Warcraft Terms of use pages; this is to make the email appear to be genuine. The third link (which is the hook and the illegal spam link), takes the user to: , Battle2009.tk is NOT an official World of Warcraft site do NOT click on the link and DO NOT go to that web page. If you have clicked on the link and you are a BuyMMOAccounts.com customer please contact us immediately. If you are not a BuyMMO customer and you have clicked the link please call World of Warcraft’s Billing & Account Administration immediately. Now here is the email to watch out for: Greetings, An investigation of your World of Warcraft / Battle.net account has found strong evidence that the account in question is being sold or traded.
